Belvedere Veterinary Center uses state-of-the-art veterinary diagnostic technology, which can yield important health information not found with a physical exam alone. We are dedicated to understanding your pet’s condition from top to bottom by performing the necessary tests and building a comprehensive profile of their health, so we can create an effective treatment plan tailored to their specific needs. Our goal is to make sure healthy pets are staying healthy, and sick or injured pets are receiving the appropriate care to alleviate their condition and enhance their quality of life.

We recommend annual blood testing to check your pet for any signs of underlying illness, and to give them a clean bill of health. Contact us today!

How We Use Our In-House Laboratory

Our clinic uses IDEXX Veterinary and vCheck BNP machines in our in-house lab, which allow us to perform thorough exams for your pet to help us diagnose or rule out any conditions that may arise. We use this equipment to perform a variety of tests, including:

  • Blood chemistry
  • Urinalysis
  • Snap Testing (heartworm disease and various tick-borne diseases)
  • Cytology
  • CBC (complete blood count)
  • Quantitative Feline BNP (heart disease test)

In addition to general testing such as CBC and blood chemistry, we also employ our in-house lab to help diagnose and treat a wide range of health issues in dogs and cats. Our in-house equipment also gives us the ability to obtain the most accurate results possible in a short timeframe, so we can pursue appropriate treatment for your pet as soon as we can.

Digital Radiography & Ultrasound

Belvedere Veterinary Center also uses digital radiography and ultrasound to view the bones, joints, and chest cavity, and abdominal organs, respectively. We can also perform echocardiograms to observe the structure and function of your pet’s heart. These procedures are performed by IntraPet Imaging, which gives us access to board-certified internal medicine specialists for evaluation.
